Quick details: I’m at my mother’s home taking care of the pets b/c she needs someone to feed and watch them while she’s on the holiday trip. We’ve had this dog since I was a kid so he’s around 11 or 12 years old and he’s had some health problems over the course of his life; heartworms, kennel cough…but he’s a tough guy and he’s always gotten better. But right now I’m very worried because I haven’t got a way to contact his vet and my mother won’t be arriving back until Saturday.
These are the symptoms:
-He won’t eat. He’ll eat treats, he’ll eat the extra bacon I fry in the morning, he’ll eat the pizza crust that’s left over…but he won’t eat the regular kibble. (but he IS drinking water like normal)
-When I let him out to go to the bathroom, he takes a VERY long time walking around trying to position himself…but he poops very little and there is BLOOD coming out, too.
– His legs are a little shaky.

I know he’s old but could anyone at least point me in the right direction about what might be ailing him, and what I can do for the next day or so?
I have only fed him those table snacks in the past day because he WILL NOT eat anything else and I don’t want him to starve to death. Kthx.
