Is this kennel cough?
My dog has been acting kind of funny lately after he came home from the vet. He had an ear infection which is why we brought him to the vet. Hes been around no other dogs.
Hes been:
-hacking, not all the time, but unusually more
-growling weird
-breathing harder
-bark sounds different
-he seems to be sleeping more
Should I take him to the vet? To be honest, I just paid 0 dollar bill at the vet, then he came home like this. Right now, I’m a little angry at the vet. Hes been around NO other dogs. He developed these odd symptoms within a two to three day period after the vet. Should I call and complain?

You should most definitely call the vet. Not necessarily to complain but to let them know what’s going on. Your dog could have a reaction to the medication they gave him. Or he most likely was exposed to something at the clinic. If that is the case – the veterinary clinic should examine him for free, and possibly dispense medication to you at cost to treat the kennel cough. It is their responsibility to follow strict infectious disease control principles, and if they are spreading kennel cough to all their healthy patients, then they have a problem. Definitely call them.
Here’s what kennel cough looks like:

A bark sounding different can be a sign of laryngeal paralysis, which happens sometimes in older larger breed dogs. But the onset of clinical signs sounds like picked up something at the vet clinic. Good luck.
Yes of course you should call the vet. I don’t know about complaining but you need to alert them to your dogs symptoms and when they began. Most vets have a treatment policy that there is no office fee if you are back within a few days. Is he on meds? Could he be reacting to the meds?
Also, has he been innoculated against kennel cough?
Could be kennel cough.
Could have something stuck in his throat.
Might have aspirated something into his lung?
I think you need to call the vet, regardless. Any time a dog’s behavior or demeanor changes, something is wrong, and difficulty breathing is ALWAYS a reason to see the vet.
It could be a variety of things, including kennel cough, heartworms, and simple congestion. My English Shepherd had the same symptons and he ended up having congestion. Go ask your vet
If he has been vaccinated in the past then no worry about the CD(Canine Distemper).
If not and is between 3-6 months old then some of your dogs symptoms match with CD. Just to be Sure check with your VET.
Back to the vet he should go.
sounds like or pneumonia..always give dog kennel cough shot
