How long does kennel cough generally last?
My dog Cabella got kennel cough 6 days ago and I took her to the vet to get antibiotics. My other dog Aspen got it about 3 days later and Cabella was getting worse. I went to the vet and got antibiotics and a cough suppressant and it seemed to help a lot. Aspen seems totally better, havn’t heard a cough in 2 days, but cabella is still coughing constantly. My vet said to come back after 7 days to get more antibiotics if she was still coughing. Is there anyone who’s had a dog with kennel cough? About how long does it generally last? Thanks 
(Both dogs have had the bordatella vaccine within the last 3 months and I will be gettting her the extra antibiotics tomorrow regardless)

I had a dog that only coughed for a two days, another that coughed for a week.
It typically lasts 14-20days.
Get a vaporizer with vicks vapo steam that will help also.
I have 7 dogs and 5 of mine ended up with it after going to the vets office.
Even though the coughing may stop you still need to keep them away from other dogs for at least 20 days.
Make sure their collars are lose so it does not rub their throat and no running or hard playing.

i just adopted a dog and when i took him to the vet she told me all about kennel cough she said it last 2-3 weeks
It can be really hard to get rid of especially with two dogs being able to pass it back and forth. Keep theme on the vaccine, it shouldn’t have lapsed and allowed them to get it though
