my cat is not feeling well….we just got her from the pound, and she was a stray. She eats, but then she starts coughing and throws her food up. I gave her olive oil, because I thought it was a hairball. I’m just worried about my cat.

I think she may have it. She has an appointment with the Vet tomorrow afternoon. Will she be OK until then? How dangerous is it?
Thanks,

Okay, I got a 8 week old puppy about a week ago and Thursday I started noticing that it started coughing, but the vet just gave her the dewormer and told me to isolate her and keep her indoors. So far today she has been coughing every 20 mins or so but she stil has a good appetite does not have diarrea and its playful. What is it KC or distemper? and what can I give her?

My 4 month old toy poodle puppy was diagnosed with kennel cough and has been on his meds for 4 days now. my mom is coming into town for a visit, and will be bringing her bichon frieze who is 8 years old. I am worried that her dog will catch my puppy’s cold. My mother on the other hand is not worried. She says that it shouldn’t be contagious because my pup has been on his meds…..What do you think?

I have a 3 year old rat terrier. He is healthy and about 12 pounds. I am dogsitting for a 3 month old chihuaha that the vet said had kennel cough. He was given antibiotics and has not been coughing since he was given the meds. How long will he be contagious for? I don’t want to get our dog sick. I was told that it is something that only puppies get because their immune system is not built up enough. What should I do?
