The puppy developed seizures after being sick with Kennel Cough, the vet prescribed lasix ( a non potassium sparing ) fluid remover for the dog. He got lasix for three days, now he has seizures grand mal lasting about 5 seconds every 36 hours. He appears fine after its over.

I had a friend who had a puppy that developed seizures. He took the puppy to a homeopathic vet. One of the things they did was take the puppy off of regular dog food and started on raw food. Not sure which ones or what order they were introduced but there was something in the processed food, some chemical, that tended to trigger the seizures. You may want to do some checking in that direction. I really wish I remembered more but that was about a year ago. They were going to have to put the dog on massive doses of ….. (I cannot believe I am drawing a blank here – the strong seizure med that dogs get). Anyway, he went to this vet and it did wonders. Do some research in that direction and see if anything clicks for your situation.

You can find a professional whom you can consult about puppy’s seizures.
I just read from Hamilton’s book and can’t reproduce the thousands of words he has there on seizures. "If your animal is having a convulsion, is in between a series of convulsions, or is about to have one …you can use the Bach flower essence called Rescue Remedy…and this will often calm him. It will sometimes stop a convulsion."
Rescue Remedy is available in most health food stores. It is totally benign and works just by putting three to four drops somewhere on the puppy’s body, probably between his ears. Always shake the bottle well before using. It cannot possibly harm him in any way.
KG is right on with the raw diet. Dr. Hamilton suggests vitamin B supplements too. The raw diet will provide the highest possible nutrition and ensure his overall health for his lifetime. With the raw food the natural vitamins in the meat are much better than supplements. And Dr. Hamilton strongly supports natural feeding for cats and dogs.
Lasix is a fluid remover like you said, but it’s generally given to dogs that have heart/lung problems in which fluid fills the abdomen and surrounds the heart and lungs, making it harder to breathe. So I’m not quite sure why your dog is taking that seizures dont cause fluid build up initially. Ask your vet about Phenobarbitol. It is a Once/Twice daily medication for seizures. Most Vet’s dont recommend feeding raw food, (people food in general) It could cause more harmful things to the animal than the seizures (if they were controlled) Like Pancreatitis, bacterial poisoning, etc… in which can lead to death. You may also want to have a CT scan done, to make sure that there isn’t something more serious going on. Most of the time, dogs dont begin having seizures until they are adults. Generally 3-5. Unless they are Distemper survivors. Wed….The dr. that I work for said that he would almost bet that your puppy didn’t have kennel cough, that he probably had Distemper. He could have gotten it from a shelter or from a "puppy mill"/breeder.
NO! None!!! Put it DOWN! TODAY!!! Do NOT run on a pup that damaged!!!
